"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14
Our basic philosophy of children's ministry is to minister to them wholistically: spirit, body and mind. Our primary goal is to address their relationship with Christ while simultaneously ministering to their basic needs of love and acceptance, security, fun and meaningful activities, and realistic, consistent behavior expectations. We do that through a number of age appropriate ministries including:
Sunday School: Sunday School meets every Sunday morning from 11-12 at the old church manse (next to the church on Gordon St.). The children spend the first 20 minutes in the worship service before hearing a special children's talk and then breaking off to their respective Sunday School rooms for their lessons and various crafts and games. |
Youth Fellowship (YF): Our weekly club for students S1-6 meets Wednesday nights during term time, from 6:30-8pm at Rosebank Hall. During that time we enjoy snacks, hang out and catch up with our friends, play games, and spend time exploring the Word to God. Special trips and activities throughout the term are also planned. All kids of secondary school age are welcome! |
316 CLUB: The 316 CLUB is for primary school students, P1-7, which meets on Thursday afternoons during term time from 4-5pm in Rosebank Hall. The club is an interdenominational effort manned by volunteers from several evangelical churches around town. During the hour, the kids enjoy a Bible lesson/story, play games, sing, and make crafts. A small donation of 50p per child (no more than £1 per family) is asked to off-set the cost of snacks and craft supplies. |
Summer Holiday Club: The last full week in July we hold our summer holiday club, which is open to all primary school-aged children who have completed P1-7. The children meet in Rosebank Hall from 10am-12noon each day to explore the Bible, play games, make fun crafts, and, of course, there is LOADS of singing! Past themes have included, Seaside Rock, Castle Keepers, and Space Trek. It's an extravaganza you won't want to miss! Keep your eyes open for information about our registration day in mid-June. . Drop us an email if you're interested in joining one of our children's groups and we will connect you. |
